URGENT:  THE SITUATION IN OUR VILLAGE IN HAITI

Vassar Haiti Project Earthquake relief efforts for the people of Chermaitre, Haiti and surrounding communities:

A deadly earthquake of 5.9 magnitude hit northern Haiti Saturday night, less than 30 miles from Chermaitre and the other communities with which we partner. Relief efforts and funding for such emergencies generally miss remote communities such as Chermaitre.

According to our sources in Haiti, this earthquake has cast widespread destruction throughout the region, including:

  • Damage to many homes

  • Destabilized school buildings

  • Imminent storms threatening broken structures

  • Many injuries

We urgently need extra resources for the recovery effort!  Any amount is appreciated; with even a $10 contribution, YOU make a difference.

We are seeking to raise funds to repair the many homes and school building in Chermaitre that have been affected so that families can be safe in their homes and students can continue attending school.

Our 18 years of experience in Haiti ensures that your donation will go DIRECTLY to aid the people in this region and is 100% tax deductible.
