“Working with VHP reforestation and water initiatives gave me good experience and confidence in grant writing. I am now using the communication and creativity skills inspired by VHP to engage my environmental science and biology students. VHP (its mission and people!) also inspired me to go see what is going on outside the U.S. I'm still working on being able to do this, but the inspiration is there.”
