In memory of Fedlin Profèlus

Fedlin at Galerie Benoit

It is with a heavy heart that the Vassar Haiti Project announces that Fedlin Profelus, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2022. Fedlin’s art has been a centerpiece for the art coming from Galerie Benoit and his work has been heralded as some of the best work from the gallery. Fedlin had graduated from high school and was enrolled in university majoring in economics.

Fedlin is the brother of Benoit Profelus, a young artist who the Vassar Haiti Project has been supporting for the past ten years. Benoit has been supporting young Haitian artists in the northwest region of Haiti. His brother Fedlin was among many young artists whose works have been exhibited and sold on our website. Fedlin often accompanied our group when we would go to Haiti, always lending a helping hand with a warm smile.

We grieve along with Benoit and his family. Please join us in thought and prayer as we remember a life that was too short lived.

Please enjoy some of Fedlin’s work below.
